About the Author & Website
As you read this blog you may be wondering who the writer is behind all these interesting pieces; the answer is a freshman college student. My name is Crystal Rivas and I currently attend the California State University of Northridge but originate from the not so small town of Los Angeles, CA. My current major is Magazine Journalism since I love reading and learning about new things involving the public. Not only does the writing part of Journalism intrigue me, but the photography aspects to it. It's great to capture true photographs and moments. Other Interesting facts about myself include my diet of being a vegetarian (which has been about 5 years) and my love for animals. Not only that but any friend of mines can describe my passion for baking, enjoyment of arts and crafts, and simply spending quality time with all those I love around me. Considering the idea of me having an interest in the Journalism benefits me in creating this website. However the main purpose to creating this website has been because of my English Class assignment.
Through the end of my semester in my English course I hope to provide all you readers with the true concept of Dystopia. Dystopia is widely portrayed in the media, especially in well known hollywood films and popular young adult novels. It is a theme to be widely produced and supported, so I decided there is no better choice than to analyze the subject. During the creation of this website I hope to expand my own knowledge on the subject, as well as my readers. So read on and try to spot the references of dystopia.
